CHANDIGARH, Oct 24: Two senior BJP ministers from Punjab have appealed to party workers not to be misled by rumours and quot;misquoted propagandaquot; about what they called quot;imaginary differences between ministers and leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJPquot;.

Stating that the alliance in Punjab was on a firm footing and that the question of break-up at any time in future did not arise, they termed the reported dissensions within the BJP ministers and state leadership as baseless.

The statement issued by Balramji Dass Tandon and Madan Mohan Mittal stated that ministers in the Cabinet had always given frank opinion and ultimately the decisions in the Cabinet were taken unanimously as a collective responsibility of the entire Cabinet. quot;There has never been any divergence in approach and actions and whatever issues come in the way, these are sorted out amicably through consensus without any hindrance at any stage.quot;
