
HAJIPUR BIHAR, August 16: Railway minister and Samata leader Nitish Kumar today said steps are being taken to expand the BJP-Samata combine to remove 8220;corrupt and ineffective8221; RJD government in Bihar.
He hinted at a 8220;new political equation8221; in the state and said all possible efforts are being made to expand the combine8217;s base which would work together to fight the RJD misrule.
Kumar, who was speaking after flagging off two trains between Hajipur and Barauni, denied difference between him and former minister Ramvilas Paswan on new railway projects.
8220;There is no difference between me and Paswan and my ministry is committed to sincerely execute projects announced by my predecessor Paswan.8221;
He termed as 8220;baseless and canard8221; allegations that he was 8220;misguiding8221; the people on the alleged delay in providing land to his ministry by the state government for implementing several rail projects in Bihar.
Speaking on the occasion, Paswan said the days of Rabri Devi ministry were numbered and acampaign has already been launched to oust the present regime.
Nitish said his ministry had already approached the state government seeking allotment of required lands to ensure early completion of a number of rail projects including construction of newly-created Ranchi Division office.
