
PUNE, NOV 29: National Defence Academy NDA cadets should incorporate the habit of winning which could only be acheived by constant endeveaours, Chief of Army staff said here on Wednesday.
Professional competence of highest degree, maintaining highest standards of morality and discipline and perseverance would ensure success of the cadets, Padmanabhan said after reviewing the 99th passing out parade of the NDA.
Earlier the Army Chief congratulated the cadets on the successful completion of the course.
With the band playing Hum NDA ke cadet hai and Sare jahan se accha, the spectators were treated to a breathtaking fly past by Jaguar8217;s and SU-308217;s. The NDA cadets also put up a spectacular show at the parade.
ACA Pawan Nehra bagged the President8217;s gold medal for standing first in the overall merit list while ACC TJ Asirvada and Cadet Captain T Zacharia won the silver and bronze medals respectively. Golf Squadron was declared the champion Squadron for the 4th consecutive time.
Out of 319 cadets of the passing out batch, 227 would join the army, 29 the navy and 63 would join the Air Force after a short break.
