NCM gets 4 new members

The government has appointed four new members to the National Commission for Minorities NCM. A government statement said it has 8216;8216;nominated four eminent persons as members of the National Commission for Minorities NCM for a period of three years with effect from the date of their assuming office.8217;8217;

The government has appointed four new members to the National Commission for Minorities NCM. A government statement said it has 8216;8216;nominated four eminent persons as members of the National Commission for Minorities NCM for a period of three years with effect from the date of their assuming office.8217;8217;

The nominated members include journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, political science professor at the Centre for Political Studies in JNU Zoya Hasan and a member of the Parsi community and former Minorities Commission member Lieutenant General A M Sethna. Michael P Pinto, a retired IAS officer and member of the expert group of the 12th Finance Commission, has been nominated as the Christian member of the Commission.
