
PUNE, July 10: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation PCMC would shortly be taking up road widening work at Bhosari on the Pune-Nashik highway stretch as the road stretch has been handed over by the Public Works Department PWD to the municipal corporation.
While the entire road stretch from Nashik Phata near Kasarwadi up to Bhosari gaothan has been given to the municipal corporation, the PCMC would be undertaking road widening work on the congested one-kilometre stretch at Bhosari. Municipal Commissioner Pravinsinh Pardeshi today told newspersons that the work would be initiated in 15 days.
Several illegal constructions along the road will have to be razed for widening the road from the present 40 feet to 100 feet. Pardeshi however said that the road would be widened to 100 feet. In the PCMC development plan the proposed width of the road is 150 feet.
