Narpender, Sharma elected

PANCHKULA, Nov 26: Narpender Singh and AK Sharma were unanimously elected president and general secretary, respectively, of the Haryana State Amateur Athletic Association in the requisition meeting held at Red Bishop Complex today. The requistion meeting was reportedly sought by 16 affiliated units.

The other office-bearers elected were: Senior vice-presidents: Ram Singh, Ram Sawrup; vice-presidents: B S Sandhu, MS Ahlawat, KP Singh, Jai Singh, Ram Kishan; treasurer: RS Hooda; joint secretaries: Jadgish Parshad, Jai Singh and VK Mohan.

Executive members: Sajjan Kumar, HK Kundu, HS Gill, Naseem Ahmad and Chand Ram. State coach: K S Gulia.

Meanwhile, HSAAA secretary general H S Bhadu termed the meeting as illegal.
