Even as the two-day Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) of the Saurashtra-Kutch region organised in Rajkot came to a close on January 12, the exhibition itself will remain open for the public till January 15, the state said in a statement on Monday.

Held at Marwadi University, located on the Morbi highway north of Rajkot city, the exhibition has been organised with the participation of leading industrialists, entrepreneurs, MSME units, academicians, artisans, women entrepreneurs, startups and innovators from the Kutch and Saurashtra regions.

The five-day exhibition is spread over 26,000 square meters and features 450 exhibitors, including over 160 MSMEs, 60 startups and innovators, 62 artisans, and 70 stalls from central and state government departments, from sectors such as agriculture and food processing, fisheries, defence, energy, petrochemicals, engineering, ports and logistics. Major companies include Torrent Power, Kosol, Adani Green, Essar Group, Nayara Energy and Jyoti CNC.

The exhibition is spread across six distinct thematic domes, which include Gateway to Global Growth, Green Energy Ecosystem and Petrochemicals, Crafts Village and MSME Pavilion, Ocean of Opportunities, Enterprise Excellence Pavilion and Public Sector Powerhouse. Each dome features pop-up stages for new product launches, technology demonstrations and direct interaction with visitors.

In the statement on Monday, the government said that a lucky draw has been organised every day at 5:30 pm from January 12 to 15 where members of the public can win electric scooters, 42-inch LED TVs, refrigerators, smartphones, gift vouchers and gift hampers.

The Regional Conference

The VGRC itself, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on January 11, saw 50 seminars being organised over two days. It is the first of four Vibrant Gujarat regional conferences with the others to be held in central, north and south regions of the state.

The statement said, “One of the key attractions of the exhibition is the Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet (RBSM), which provides regional MSMEs with a direct opportunity to connect with more than 110 international buyers. For the first time, cottage industries are participating in exclusive interactions with over 20 international buyers, opening new pathways for global outreach. The programme received an overwhelming response, with more than 2,200 meetings held in just the first two days and over 1,000 MoUs signed, leading to an expected export business of more than Rs500 crore.”
