Ahead of the Republic Day, National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan has been sent to Riyadh as a special envoy by PM Manmohan Singh to work out the details of the forthcoming visit of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. The Saudi King is the chief guest at the January 26 parade.In line with the PM’s ‘‘look West’’ policy, New Delhi is eyeing for greater investment from Saudi Arabia and views this visit by the King as an important starting point.India is also forward for greater cooperation with Saudi Arabia on issues related to terrorism. Narayanan, who left today on a special flight, is on a four-day visit and will also convey condolences on the stampede that killed scores of people on the last day of Haj.
