NALGONDA AP, FEBRUARY 6: Former champions Karnataka set a title clash with Manipur in the 9th Sub-junior Hockey National on Sunday. Manipur beat Punjab 1-0 with a golden goal while 1987 winner Karnataka beat Namdhari by the odd goal in three 2-1, also by a golden goal.

The hero for Karnataka was goalkeeper Alvin Felix, who saved three clear goals and a penalty stroke for golden goal in extra time. Karnataka8217;s manager and coach were given an official warning by the tournament director Peter Menezes for calling both the match umpires as third grade umpires for giving a stroke against them in the extra time.

Results: Karnataka 2 KP Dinesh, C Suresh Kumar bt Namdhari 1 Gurudarshan Singh; Manipur 1 Premshowar bt Punjab 0.
