HYDERABAD, January 24: Several trophies and awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke award, which were presented to Akkineni Nageswar Rao, south India’s distinguished film actor, were stolen from the museum at his Annapurna Studios here.

Unidentified miscreants broke into the veteran actor’s studios at Jubilee Hills and stole the three most valuable prizes, the Dadasaheb Phalke award, the Padmashri and the Padmabhushan, he had received for his lifetime achievement in the film industry. The numerous other prizes and mementoes were left untouched.
