MUMBAI, August 10: The Vivekananda Youth Forum VYF, the youth wing of Ramakrishna Mission, had organised a musical concert, The Unchained Spirit,8217; to celebrate its tenth anniversary, the centenary of Swami Vivekananda8217;s triumphant return from the Chicago Parliament of Religions and fifty years of Indian independence. The concert, which included a musical representation of Wordsworth8217;s Daffodils by Rajesh David and Song of the Soul, an Odissi dance recital by Shubhada Rajesh, was held at the Nehru Centre auditorium on Saturday, August 9.

Golden jubilee
Vishya Bhajan Mandal, a religious organisation will be celebrating its golden jubilee function from August 11 to 15. A release here said that besides religious activities, the institution also promotes social, economical, cultural and educational needs of community members. The Mandal8217;s aim is to own a building with a hall and a library exclusively for the Vishya community, it added.
