The Ludhiana police have arrested 10 members of Goldy Brar’s gang and busted an extortion module in a three-week-long operation, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Sunday.
“In a successful campaign against organized crime #Ludhiana Commissionerate Police busts an extortion module linking to Gangster Goldy Brar. 10 key operatives arrested in 3 week operation,” Yadav wrote on X.

The DGP wrote that the police had seized 12 weapons from the arrested gang members and that two of the weapons were Austrian Glock pistols.
“Arrests of the accused led to recovery of #foreign-made pistols including 2 Austrian #Glock pistols and 10 other sophisticates pistols. The operatives were tasked with trafficking of illegal arms, #extortion and murders over the state to create lawlessness,” he added.
The Ludhiana police said they registered FIRs under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act against the accused and that the investigation was underway to arrest remaining operatives and make further recoveries.
