Indian Expressstaffers retire
Madhukar Pandurang More, an accounts clerk of the circulation department of The Indian Express, retired on May 31 after serving the organisation for 37 years. He was given a warm send-off by the circulation staff.
J S Prabhu, statistician, also retired on May 31 after 37 years of service with The Financial Express.
Environment Day programme

Talent promotion festival
The Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeet Sabha will hold a talent promotion festival to promote young talent from June 5 at King8217;s Circle. The programme will last until October and will feature 23 performances from artists from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Trivandrum and Vaikom. The programme will beinaugurated on June 5 with a saxophone duet by AS Vedamurthy and TS Manjunath.
