
Task force for diabetes care
A group of people involved in diabetes care have formed an Indian Task Force on diabetes, which will try to improve standards of diabetes management. The task force will act as a forum to interact with agencies to improve the plight of diabetes patients. It will also enable them to get Mediclaim, which is at present denied to them.

Indian Express staffer retires
Indian Express staffer Manohar Borkar retired today after 21 long years of service. Borkar joined the General Administration department as a peon on January 21, 1978. He was accorded a warm farewell by his colleagues.
