While some countries shine because of their calm lifestyles and people-first work cultures, others stand out for strong public systems and low crime rates.

Finland leads the list, known globally for its high happiness levels and world-class education system. Parents receive a total of 160 days of paid leave, giving families valuable time to bond during a child’s early years without worrying about loss of income.

Denmark comes in close behind, offering a relaxed pace of life and a strong emphasis on balance. With high safety standards, dependable social support, and up to a year of parental leave, raising children in Denmark is designed to feel manageable rather than stressful.

Sweden secures a place among the top three, reflecting its long-standing focus on family welfare and equality. Parents are entitled to 480 days of paid parental leave, allowing both mothers and fathers to share childcare responsibilities more evenly.

Next on the list is the Netherlands, a country known for its safe neighbourhoods and flexible work culture. Cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, and The Hague are particularly popular with families. With up to 26 weeks of parental leave available, parents find it easier to balance professional and personal life.

Countries like Norway, Canada, and New Zealand also feature prominently, each offering a high standard of living, strong public support systems, and safe environments for children. Overall, European countries dominate the rankings, taking up eight of the top 10 positions.
