
Function for cancer patients
V Care, a support group for cancer patients, has invited celebrities, recovered patients and doctors to distribute gifts to patients at Tata Memorial Hospital and other centres on February 12. And on February 13, commemorated as Cancer Survivors8217; Day by V Care, the second Victor Awards will be handed out at a function at the Horniman Circle Gardens on February 13 at 5.30 pm. This will be followed by the release of a book written by Rusi Lala, Celebration of the Cells. Ayurvedic camp at Marine Lines
An ayurvedic camp on asthma, chronic cold, sinus, coughs, sneezing, skin diseases including white patches, liver disorder, epilepsy and pimples will be held between February 5 and 16 from 5 to 7 pm except on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. Free medicine will bedistributed at the camp at 4, F-2 Court Chambers, 35 New Marine Lines, behind I-T Office.
Workshop on self-realisation
Meditation expert Choa Kok Sui will hold a workshop on self realisation in Mumbai. Master Choa has combined his teachings on the Meditation on Twin Hearts8217; and Meditation On The Soul8217; to offer a special form of self realization. Spiritual talk on managing stress
The Chinmaya Mission has organised a spiritual discourse on Coping with Stress 8211; A Spiritual approach8221; on Friday, February 5 by Swami Chidananda. A website on Samarth Ramdas and his teachings was inaugurated at Vile Parle E by Dr S D Kopardekar, Director and Principal of the L N Welingkar Institute of Management andDevelopment on January 31. Shankarashram Swamiji in city
The 25,000 strong Chitrapur Saraswat community in Mumbai will celebrate the Ordination Day of His Holiness Shirmat Sadyojat Shankarashram Swami of Shri Chitrapur Math, Shirali on February 5. The swami was ordained as Mathadipathi in February 1997. He will be put up at the Saraswat Colony, Santacruz, till February 9.
