Inter-collegiate fest at Thane

  • A five-day inter-collegiate festival will be held from December 18 at Rajiv Gandhi Medical College, Thane. Around 30 colleges are expected to participate in the festival, which will have events like swimming, cricket and athletics on the first three days. This will be followed by cultural events and photography and personality contests and a fashion show.
  • Adventure camp at Borivli park

  • The Explorers and Adventurers8217; Club will conduct its 14th adventure camp for children between the ages of 12 and 16 from December 25 to January 1 at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivli.   • Anthony Parakal, the record holding letter writer and social worker, has been nominated for the Man of the Year title for 1998 by the American Biographical Institute. Parakal, whose name has been mentioned in the Guiness and Limca Books of Records, has been writing letters to the editors of various national newspapers since 1955.
