Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar

Noted historian and biographer of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Babasaheb Purandare, will be awarded the Jeevan Gaurav Puruskar for 1998. The award has been instituted by Chaturang Prathisthan which felictates those personalities who have enriched the social, cultural and educational life of Maharashtra. The award will be presented during a Rangsammelan between December 25 and 27.

Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Presentation on child birth

A presentation on child birth, organised by Dr Kirit Trivedi and gynaecologists Dr Geeta Niyogi and Dr Suchitra Pandit, will be held at Khar Gymkhana, 15th Road Khar West, on October 9, at 3.30 pm. The focus will be on removing myths and misconceptions about child birth and to educate women on the physiological, emotional andpsychological aspects of child birth.
