Mumbai enter semis

KOZHIKODE, OCT 3: Mumbai and Shivaji Universities, last year8217;s winners and runners-up respectively, have booked their semi-final berth by scoring easy wins over their rivals in the quarter-final match of the South-West Zone Inter- University Women8217;s Kabbadi Tournament today.

In the quarter-final match at the University Stadium here, Shivaji University thrashed Madras 53-13 while Mumbai overcame Bharathidasan University 55-29. In the other quarter-final matches, Calicut University beat SNDT, Mumbai, 43-21 and Pune University subdued a spirited Nagpur varsity team.

The semi-final league will be held tomorrow and the day after.

All the four winners in this quarter final would be eligible to participate in the forthcoming All-India Inter-University Inter-Zone Kabbadi Tournament at Shimla commencing on Oct 15.
