RDX floating around: police
Police investigating into the encounter killing of gangsters in Ahmedabad on Monday said consignments of smuggled explosives were quot;floating aroundquot; in different parts of the country. Ten kilograms of research and development explosive RDX were recovered by Gujarat police after an encounter with some gangsters from Mumbai and are valued at Rs 30 lakh, police said adding that this indicated funding of terrorism by a foreign state. They feared the quantity of RDX recovered could have wider ramifications for Mumbai, New Delhi and other cities. Shirish Pawar, one of the six gangsters killed, was recently released from Arthur Road central prison, police sources revealed.
