“They would be playing for the fans. The audience can keep choosing who they want to follow and bet on a winner. If they do it correctly, they will earn money. The prize money of this show will be distributed among the fans who have followed and supported them,” Alok added, stating that up to a certain point in the game, the audience can change their pick of contestant, after which their choice will be locked. He also added that everyone would be given a fair chance.

The 50 would be the first Indian reality show to bring 50 celebrities under one roof.

Karan Patel is the first confirmed contestant for The 50

While Farah Khan was revealed as the host for this show a few weeks back, details about the contestants have been strictly kept under wraps. On Thursday, the makers announced this season’s first confirmed contestant, Karan Patel. Talking about his participation in the show, Karan said in a statement, “Being locked in a house for a month, away from friends and family, was never something I imagined for myself. But the moment I heard the concept of the show, there was an instant desire to be a part of it. The 50 excites me, the games, the competition, and the madness that comes with it. I’m looking forward to meeting my fellow contestants, hopefully some familiar faces, and giving it my all. I’ve always believed in content that entertains responsibly, and that’s exactly what drew me to this game-based format. For me, this show is about fun, positivity, and healthy competition. I want to be very clear about one thing: unnecessary chaos, character assassination, or foul language is something I will not tolerate. I’m here purely for entertainment and honest gameplay, not to spread negativity or cross lines. Most of all, I hope to bring smiles to those watching—and yes, I’ll be giving it my absolute best to take the trophy home!”
