New MHADA vice-president

Managing director of Maharashtra State Tribal Development Corporation Gorakh Megh has taken over as vice-president of Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority MHADA. He replaces Subhod Kumar. In addition, Megh has also taken over as chief executive officer CEO of Shiv Shahi Punarvasan Prakalp SSPL by replacing SS Gill. By appointing the same person at MHADA and SSPL, Jain has paved the way for getting the administration in super-fast gear to give the scheme a push before polls.

Bomb hoax at NSE, BSE

A bomb hoax created panic at the premises of National Stock Exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange on Dalal Street and Nehru Planetarium at Worli today. The bomb detection squad did not find any bombs, police said.

Signapurkar gets remand

Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Usha Iyer today remanded a shoe-company owner Kishore Signapurkar to judicial custody till April 1 for allegedly evading custom duty to the tune of Rs 165.5 lakh.
