
VADODARA, June 8: The Faculty of Commerce, M SU proposes to start a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the new academic year.
Speaking about the programme Faculty Dean B S Patel said the programme was primarily targeted towards those who were already employed but needed to brush up their managerial skills and improve decision-making.
Patel said the written examination for the course would be held on June 21 and the last date for accepting the forms is June 20. The fees per semester will be Rs 2,000.
The course would have a total of 40 seats and two of the total seats would be reserved for officers sponsored by the university. Organisational structure and dynamics, personal and interpersonal dynamics, human resource management and managerial economics among other subjects would be taught.
8220;Since it was targeted for those already working it would be held in the evening, but 80 per cent attendance would be compulsory and those failing to meet the requirement would not be allowed to answer their examinations,8221; Patel said.
The lectures would be conducted by faculties from the university and outside. 8220;Industrialists and experts in various fields will be invited to share their experience and knowledge,8221; he said.
Patel pointed out that the course would be different from courses conducted by other management centres in the city as students would be awarded with a degree of the university.
