Ministry ACTS a day TOO late

The sports ministry8217;s orders to the IHF today to form a proper selection committee for selecting the Indian team has come a day late. Yesterday the IHF announced 26 probables for the Olympic preparatory camp at Chandigarh, but there is no clarity on the selection of at least two players 8212; midfielder Gurbaj Singh and forward Jalwinder 8212; without any justification. Last year, the duo was in the under-16 team for the Dhaka tournament and are now part of the under-18 camp which is to be held either in Delhi or Hyderabad next week. The under-18 team is scheduled to tour Korea in June.
