
CHANDIGARH, April 6: The Chandigarh Administration has repatriated Chief Architect and ex-officio Secretary, Department of Urban Planning, S.K. Midha to his parent state of Haryana.
While Midha has yet to hand over the charge, which would be done in a day or two, Sarabjit Singh, a senior architect, will look after the work of chief architect in addition to his present duties.
Midha8217;s repatriation follows a letter from Haryana asking the Chandigarh Administration to repatriate all the Haryana architects working on deputation with UT, to enable sending a fresh set of officers on deputation to UT.
Haryana had stated that Midha and architects Sunita Monga and Rakesh Gupta had been working on deputation for a number of years now, against the stipulated three-year deputation period. Incidentally, Midha has been working in UT since 1975. The Administration has also repatriated both Sunita Monga and Rakesh Gupta to their parent state.
Meanwhile, administrative officer D.D. Gautam, Government Medical College, has also been repatriated to his parent state of Haryana. Social Welfare director Prithi Chand will look after his Gautam work in addition to own duties.
