Microsoft inks deal with IISc

The Indian Institute of Science IISc on Friday signed a research sponsorship and collaboration deal with Microsoft Research. The collaboration will see Microsoft Research provide advanced computing capabilities to IISc8217;s Supercomputer Education Research Center and sponsorship to research work dependent on high power computing.

8220;Scientific research requires tremendous computational power and data management technologies. We expect to see contributions to our research efforts from this collaboration,8221; IISc associate director N Balakrishnan said.
