Meet mark by Tokas

NEW DELHI, July 29: Tanuja Vij of Springdales, Charu Mishra of Guru Harkishan Public School (V.Vihar), Meesha Roy of Holy Child and Meenakshi Tokas of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan emerged the fastest swimmers in their groups in the Directorate of Education Open Aquatic meet that concluded at the Punjabi Bagh Club pool here today. Among boys, Nitin Verma and Shekhar Tokas ( both DPS, Mathura Road), Sunil (LC-II) and Raghav Rai Verma of DPS (Vasant Kunj) claimed the honours in their respective groups.

Jessica Chen of Jesus and Mary College became the fastest swimmer in the women’s section while Darksh from Hansraj College emerged the fastest among men. The lone meet record came in the 100m breaststroke, in which Shekhar Tokas of Delhi Public School (Mathura Road) clocked 1:21.71. The old mark was 1:21.75. Other gold winners in various events of different sections included Sabina Sikka (Modern School), Deepkia (DPS, M.Rd), Abhishek Shokeen (DPS, M.Rd) and Parveen Tokas."
