November 6: An urgent meeting of the office-bearers and invitees of Maha Vidarbha Vikas Andolan Samiti was held on Tuesday at Gandhi Mazdoor Karyalaya, Mahal. The injustice meted out to Vidarbha by the Maharashtra government by its decision to set up a medical university at Nashik was discussed at the meeting. A resolution was passed condemning the decision of the government ignoring the claim of Nagpur for the medical university. It appealed to the Governor Dr P C Alexander to intervene and direct the state to implement the resolution.
