Zimbabwe coach Geoff Marsh will not renew his contract when it expires in September. 8220;He was on a two-year contract with us, and we extended it for a further year,8221; said the managing director of the ZCU, Vince Hogg.
8220;That expires at the end of September, and we are about to sign someone else up to start before Geoff finishes off.8221;
Hogg declined to confirm who Marsh8217;s replacement would be,but there are indications are that former West Indian player Phil Simmons could fill the post.
Ervine seeks asylum in Australia

The bitter tussle between Zimbabwean cricket administrators and players claimed its first victim when all-rounder Sean Ervine sought asylum in Australia. The 21-year-old Ervine arrived here hours ago, after wishing 8216;good luck8217; to the Australian team at Johannesburg, who were en route to Harare for their tour of Zimbabwe, a website reported today. Ervine, who is reportedly dating daughter of his Australian coach Geoff Marsh, Melissa, was one of the 15 8216;rebel8217; cricketers who went on strike to protest against the sacking of Heath Streak.
