Addressing a well-attended gathering of party workers in Ahmedabad’s Shahibaug area on Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani said:‘‘Bharat mein Ram Rajya hoga (India will have Ram rajya).’’ ‘‘Construction of Ram mandir in Ayodhya is the wish of the people of the country and Shankaracharya of Kanchi and the Dalai Lama are also working in the direction of its peaceful construction,’’ Advani said.

The deputy prime minister was quick to add, ‘‘The party does not want to connect the mandir issue with the elections. We will take up the matter once the election are over.’’
