Few actors are enjoying such success with their careers. Having arrived fromBihar to make a name for himself in this city of dreams, Shekhar Suman hastruly gone places. On television, his Movers amp; Shakers has found a loyalaudience. Besides, he also features in several soaps across severalchannels. Recently, he started his own theatre company in partnership withOm Katare, and their first production has completed 23 shows already. Andnow, he8217;s just back from an outdoor schedule of Kundan Shah8217;s new film,Kasam Se, in which he plays a starring role with Sunil Shetty and RaveenaTandon.

An interview with this jack of all trades8230;

How does it feel going back to movies after such a longsabbatical?
It8217;s great fun doing the song-and-dance routine. It8217;s as though one neverreally went away8230; Think about it: If you were to meet your mother aftertwo years you don8217;t feel like you8217;ve to get to know her all over againshe8217;s your mother, after all! Similarly, acting, singing and dancing was allso natural that I didn8217;t feel like I was away for so many years.

Incidentally, how did the film happen?
When Kundan Shah came on Movers amp; Shakers, he said we should work togethersometime, just like David Dhawan did. With David, nothing has worked outyet, but Kundan called back and offered me this film. It8217;s the complicatedstory of two friends played by Sunil Shetty and myself which unfoldsgradually, and like all other Kundan Shah films, this one is going to keepyou engrossed in your seats too.

More films in the pipeline?
I8217;ve got two more, but I don8217;t want to speak about them till they8217;refinalised. Both are interesting subjects, and also big projects.

Tell us about the play8230;
Woh Tum Hi Ho was adapted from an English play called It Had To Be You,which is about the relationship between a wannabe actress and an advertisingfilm-maker. The story is set during one single night. It8217;s done very well.We8217;ve performed in Singapore, Bangkok, and all around India.

What8217;s happening on the television front?
My Movers amp; Shakers is moving into its fourth stage we8217;re planning to golive. Meanwhile, I8217;ve acting in Hera Pheri. Main has just ended. There areabout 15 offers for serials, but I8217;ve decided to do just one more, so I haveto choose carefully. I8217;ve also just started my own television company called7.30 Entertainment Pvt Ltd with Amar Butala, and we8217;re making shows for B4Uand SABe TV. We8217;re committed to do one for Sony and another for BBC. Underthis company we intend to make soaps, sitcoms, everything!
