Man crushed by tractor

CHANDIGARH, Dec 25: A man was reportedly crushed under a tractor after he fell off it in Burail village here. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Rohtas district in Bihar. He is believed to be in his late twenties.

Police sources said, while the tractor was impounded, the driver Paramjit Singh managed to escape. Police have registered a case of causing death by negligence and rash driving. Paramjit Singh is a resident of Balachaur in Nawanshahr district.

Police added that last evening, Tiwari, who was sitting on the mudguard of the tractor, fell off and the tractor ran over him killing him on the spot.
