Man, aides held for minor146;s rape, murder

According to the police, a case against accused Prem Kumar was pending in a Fast Track Court at Unnao.

8220;The court had finished its hearing on June 4, 2005 and was about to pass a seven to 12 years8217; jail term,8221; said Harish Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police East.

Realising the certainty of the punishment, Prem along with Kanhai and Chedi, killed one Dharmendra.

After putting his clothes on Dharmendra, he placed the body on a railway track in Unnao. To pass off the body as his own, Prem had further placed his voter identification card, driving licence, and other documents in Dharmendra8217;s pocket. 8220;To conceal Dharmendra8217;s identity completely, the accused disposed of the severed upper part of the body in a nearby canal,8221; said Kumar.

8220;On June 8, 2005, the police recovered the headless body with all proofs that indicated that it was the body of Prem. After his sister Vidyawati testified, the case against him was dropped on June 17,8221; the officer said.
