Maharashtra completes sweep

MUMBAI, SEPT 27: Maharashtra retained the West Zone inter-state badminton titles by claiming the men8217;s, women8217;s and boys and girls titles at Bhopal on September 22-23. According to information available here, the men defeated MP 2-1, while the women and junior girls blanked Gujarat and MP respectively 2-0. The four teams will represent West Zone at the inter-state Nationals.

Boys: Maharashtra bt MP 2-1 Vinayak Puthran lost Uttam Choubey 10-15 7-15; Varun Khanwalkar amp; Sameer Bhagwat bt Uttam Choubey P Saluja 15-8 14-17 15-1; Amar Mohite bt Prateek Saluja 15-5 15-10.
