LU to seek more grants

Grappled with a financial deficit, the Lucknow University LU is likely to send a proposal to the government to increase its grant by Rs 6 crore. 8220;The proposal has already been approved by the executive council,8221; said J Prasad, Professor of Finance, LU. In the last financial year, LU received Rs 24.80 crore as grant from the government for salaries of the staff and development of the campus.
