Short film Shaadi Souffleacute; brings out relationships at different levels of maturity and commitment

As the issue of live-in relationships is being deliberated towards legalisation, it finds a fresh representation and at the right time on screen with the short film Shaadi Souffleacute;. A 45-minute Hinglish film, Shaadi Souffleacute; produced by Abhyangh Kuvalekar was recently premiered at City Pride, Kothrud. The film revolves around three couples and portrays the relationships and viewpoints on marriage being a necessity in order to continue with the commitment.

Besides acting in the film Kuvalekar has also written the story and screenplay and feels that the subject explored is cosmopolitan and has a global approach. No wonder the film has been selected for the Los Angeles International Film Festival, London International Film Festival and Florence International Film Festival. 8220;Shaadi Souffleacute; is very much about the world today. Getting into a relationship need not be an official statement these days. However it shows the different kinds of relations that happily exist; a couple that is contentedly married for nine years, the other is entering into an relationship through marriage and the third one is thriving on a commitment. The term love is vividly seen at different levels of promises and mindsets and the film still culminates without urging any particular correct way,8221; says Kuvalekar, further adding, 8220;Personally, I am very open to and in support of relations of all kinds that also need to be accepted and respected.8221;

Shaadi Souffle has the city girl Tejaswini Pandit in a lead role, and is her second film after Wavtal. 8220;People should also turn towards short films, we have put in a lot of effort towards its making and it deserves equal attention. The language too is the most comfortable and identifiable with the young generation.8221;

The film is also Kuvalekar8217;s 15th film as an actor including The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Sanai Chowghade and Sarivar Sari. He is also working on a Marathi feature film under his production banner. Speaking on the making of the Shaadi Souffle, Kuvalekar adds, 8220;The film has been shot in Pune in barely three days. This place was absolutely dependable since it a small city with lots of flavors. The mood of the city and the mix of cultures that exist and balance each other are appropriate to the circumstances in the film. The team that comprises of fresh faces and senior actors like Aditi Deshpande, has been wonderful. It has been shot on HD instead of 35 mm and the intention is to cover maximum audiences. We will soon have a television premiere, along with theatre screenings across the country.8221;
