Liquor stir: Ramadoss arrested

DR. S. Ramadoss, chief of the Pattali Makkal Katchi, an ally of the UPA, was arrested on Monday for trying to lock up a government-run liquor shop in a village near his home town, Tindivanam.

The PMK leader, who is opposing the ruling ADMK8217;s decision to open liquor shops, marched with the party8217;s women cadre to the Kondamur village and tried to shut the outlet. The police stopped him and took him in custody. He was released later. 8212;PTI
