An extension lecture by Dr R.K. Singla, professor at the Department of Computer Science and Application, was organised at Khalsa College for Women, Sidhwan Khurd.
Dr Singla talked about Information and Communication Technology ICT, its development, definition features, effects and trends. He told the audience how they were an important component of globalisation.
The students and faculty members of the Computer Department attended the lecture and interacted with the resourceperson. Alpna Saini welcomed and introduced the resourceperson and spoke about the vision and status of the Computer Department.
The principal, Dr Parmjeet Kaur thanked the resourceperson and said that his lecture had been very illuminating and interactive.
