MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 2: Unseeded Vijendra Lad of Maharashtra continued his giant-killing run with a convincing 6-3, 6-2 shock win over compatriot and National Hardcourt champion Nitin Kirtane to storm into the semi-finals of the Rs. 3 lakh J.S. Pereira Millennium All India Men’s Ranking Tennis Tournament at the Bandra Gymkhana here on Thursday.

Playing consistent tennis, Lad was never guilty of commiting too many errors as he set up his next clash with third seed Manoj Mahadevan of Tamil Nadu who ousted unseeded Kedar Tembe of Maharashtra 7-5, 6-2 in another quarter-final.

A break in the second game of the opening set gave Lad an early advantage as he raced to a 4-1 lead.
