``Dil Hai Chhota Sa, Chhoti Si Aasha'',is the unswerving endeavour of Miteeh which organized a children's festival at Nehru Memorial Hall, from January 7 to 9.20 schools including 1500 students participated. The events included dancing, singing,instrumental music, essay competition, quiz, arts and crafts exhibition and a band competition. Sanghavi KM High school bagged the prize for the best school. The men behind this are Gopal Krishan who is an engineer, a journalist, and film maker all rolled in one and Mr Divekar a professional photographer. Says Mr Krishan,"The novel thing is there are no chief guests. No outsiders to come for garlands. The teachers who have taken the efforts will do the prize distribution .'' Also the events are in three languages Hindi, English and Marathi.Says an enthusiastic Mr Krishan,"For the millenium I plan a bigger event with more than 15000 students".Miteeh is a Sanskrit word meaning determination .``This is my mission in life. At the fag end of my life , I want to contribute to the society through this endeavour,'' says Mr Krishan as he looks at the young happy faces.Christmas has gone but the real Santa has come with lots of goodies for the kids!
