
SAS NAGAR, Aug 25: The Kharar segment of the Roopnagar reserved Lok Sabha seat will have three more polling stations; some other polling stations have been reshuffled.
The first election rehearsal for the staff on election duty was also held here today.
Assistant Returning Officer O.P. Popli told Newsline that three new polling booths are: Government High School in village Dalut Singh Wala Pabhat, Government Primary School in Phase 9 and PUDA building in Phase I. The three polling booths in a building in Phase X have been shifted from the first floor to the ground floor, two polling stations in a private house in Phase III-B-I have been shifted to Government Primary School in the same Phase, four polling booths which were in a Punjab State Electricity Board building in Phase X have been shifted to a private school in Phase XI.
He added that all the personnel deployed on election duty, including all 18 supervisors, today took part in the election rehearsal and that 223 polling parties, each having four members, were formed.
