The Karnataka Legislative Assembly is likely to be dissolved on February 12, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president B. Janardhan Poojary told mediapersons here. ‘‘It could be a day or two here or there,’’ he said.‘‘As PCC President, I am saying,’’ he said, while repeatedly asserting that the dissolution would take place by February 12, to pave way for simultaneous polls along with Lok Sabha elections.Asked if the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting would be held to consult the legislators on the issue, he said, it was for the Chief Minister to decide.Chief Minister S.M Krishna is expected to leave for Delhi on Monday, where, according to party sources, he might broach the election issue with the party high command. Krishna has already held discussions with party MPs, majority of whom are reportedly in favour of holding both polls together. Meanwhile, the CLP meeting called to consult the legislators had been deferred indefinitely.
