Jain favours bye law amendments

CHANDIGARH, Oct 8: Former MP Satya Pal Jain has hailed the decision of UT Administration to review building bye laws in the city and to invite suggestions from the public on the matter. Jain also called upon the Administration to constitute a sub committee of people8217;s representatives to ensure fair representation.

In a statement issued here today, Jain suggested that 60 to 65 per cent of the total house area should be covered with a view to accommodate increasing population.
