VADODARA, Sept 1: The International Society For Krishna Consciousness ISKCON will inaugurate a centre here on Janamashtami day Friday.
According to an ISKCON release, the inauguration would include the pran prathistha function. The centre has come up on a six-acre plot of land at Alkapuri, which the state government had sold at a concessional rate.
The newly-constructed centre, according to the release, is a grand structure, a combination of both Gujarati Sompura style temple architecture and Rajasthani decorative relief artwork with hand-painted highlight work on the reliefs. The three shikhars rise some 70 feet high and the gummat is approximately 35 feet in circumference.
