New Delhi, March 30: The Pakistan cricket team left here this evening for Chandigarh ahead of their April 1 clash against India in the final league tie of the Pepsi Cup triangular cricket tournament at Mohali.

The visitors suffered yet another fitness scare when Inzamam-ul Haq was struck in his right forearm by a lifting delivery from fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar during nets this afternoon.

Haq was immediately taken for a precautionary x-ray which revealed there was no fracture. 8220;He is bruised and there is some swelling. But there is nothing serious and he should be okay,8221; team manager Shahryar Khan said.

Opener Saeed Anwar was forced to miss the tie against Lanka at Visakhapatnam due to a stye in his left eye. 8220;He is better and hopefully he should be available for the Mohali tie,8221; Khan said.

Asked about the arrival of batsman Salim Malik, Khan said the team management had not received any information on him, but added: 8220;He should have arrived by the evening flight from Karachi. But now that he has not come, it is unlikely he will be coming.8221;

Asked why the team management was guarded in its comments on Malik, he said all such decisions came from the Pakistan Board.
