
CHANDIGARH, Jan 28: A city resident accused of stealing insecticides from an Industrial Area factory has been convicted and released on six months8217; probation by UT Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Jasbir Singh.Husan Lal has also been directed to pay Rs 150 as costs of litigation, besides furnishing probation bonds of Rs 5,000.
He was arrested by the Chandigarh Police after the managing director of Kisan Chemical, Anil Kumar, reported the theft of insecticides from the factory. More than 65 bottles were recovered on Husan Lal8217;s statement. The accused, however, claimed that he was being falsely implicated.
