PANCHKULA, Aug 11: In a party meeting of the Indian National Lok Dal held at Kalka on Sunday, the party workers have demanded transfer of police personnel in Kalka. They alleged that the police personnel posted here were not concerned with the grievances of the public.

The party meeting was the first one held since the Chautala government came into power. Ram Gopal Mehta, district president of the party, said the demand of the workers have been forwarded to the party general secretary, Pardeep Chaudhary, who will in turn forward it to the Chief Minister. The district president has also proposed that an quot;open darbarquot; be held at the Market Committee office every fortnight.

It was also demanded that the faulty electricity meters in Kalka be repaired. Pardeep Chaudhary also assured that the corrupt would not be spared and appropriate action would be taken against them.
