Bangkok, Dec 6 : Indian women have their task cut out when they take on South Korea in the opening Group B tie of the women8217;s football competition in the 13th Asian Games tomorrow, looking for at least a draw to keep their hopes of making it to the semi-final stage from the tough group.

India are lodged with Asian champions and gold medal favourites China the Olympic Games runners-up, Korea and Chinese Taipei. Group A is a relatively easy pool, comprising Vietnam, North Korea, Japan and hosts Thailand.

The Indian eves, who finished fifth in the Asian Championship early this year behind hosts China, Japan, Korea and Taipei tied on points and placed fifth on goal difference will have to come up with a vastly improved show at the Thammasat Stadium if they are to come out with honours.

8220;Any medal chances depend on how we fare against Korea tomorrow. If we can overcome them, I have high hopes from the girls,8221; coach Arumainayagam, a member of the 1962 gold medal winning men8217;s squad, said today.
