Faridabad’s loss is Delhi’s gain

NEW DELHI: The triangular series match between Australia and Zimbabwe, originally scheduled to be held at the Nahar Singh Stadium in Faridabad on April 11, will in all probability be held at the Ferozeshah Kotla in New Delhi.

The secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), J Y Lele, has written to the DDCA asking whether they would be in a position to stage an additional match, besides hosting the final on April 14. And, the DDCA has announced that it was willing to take the additional game.

The Grounds and Wickets Committee, headed by Kapil Dev, was obviously not satisfied with the `condition of the ground’ and suggested shift in venue for the April 11 game.

NEW DELHI: Indian motor racer, Narain Karthikeyan, made a headstart on his British Formula-3 campaign racing off to finish a strong ninth position leaving behind 13 other racers in Donnington Park, near London recently.

A promising racer, Narainis to take part in the rest of the twenty-plus races which comprise the British Formula-3 campaign.
