As per the schedule released by the BCCI earlier, Bangalore was to host the second Test and Cuttack the final match of the three-Test series.
The change has been effected as the Australians felt it would be difficult to reach Kochi, the venue of the first match of the tri-nation series to follow the Test series India v Australia on April 1, from Cuttack, according to BCCI sources here today.
The Aussies are scheduled to arrive in Mumbai on February 21.
